Having built the thick skin and resilience required to keep going no matter what stumbling blocks were in the way, there is an evident grit and edge to his work that is sometimes inexplicable. Akeem’s musical journey really took off after releasing his debut EP, “ROLLIN”, which features the singles: “Rollin”, “My Name”, “Sucka Free”, “Be Alright”, and “For Real For Real”.
It wasn’t until 2020, when Akeem released on Facebook what would become a viral sensation, “Keemy Casanova”, where Akeem paired his lyrical abilities with his acting skills. Keemy Casanova became an alter-ego, channeling 1970’s ‘pimp’ culture. The rise of Keemy Casanova garnered the attention of many celebrities including NBA star Lou Williams, who signed Akeem to his independent label Winners United.
