Her main goal is for her listeners to tap into their emotions. Incorporating her own infectious melodies with influences from both of her Chinese and Black backgrounds, she has created a sound unlike any before: Soul music with Chinese instrumentation. Only just starting to drop music in 2021, Gayun’s first and most known project was published in late 2021 called “Brown Sugar Baby” giving her listeners a sense of what it is like to heal as a Black woman.
