The band has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, sold 40 million records worldwide, and received multiple other awards. The band was formed in 1994 by Durst and bassist Sam Rivers and was soon joined by Otto and later Borland. Limp Bizkit gained recognition in the Jacksonville underground music scene in the late 1990s and signed with Flip Records, distributed by Interscope, releasing their debut album "Three Dollar Bill, Y'all" in 1997. They achieved mainstream success with the albums "Significant Other" (1999) and "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water" (2000), though their rise was accompanied by controversies related to performances at Woodstock '99 and the 2001 Big Day Out festival. Borland left the band in 2001, and Durst, Rivers, Otto, and Lethal continued with guitarist Mike Smith. Following the release of their fourth album "Results May Vary" (2003), Borland returned to record the EP "The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1)" (2005) with Durst, Rivers, Lethal, and drummer Sammy Siegler before the band went on hiatus. In 2009, Limp Bizkit reunited with Borland and resumed touring, culminating in the release of "Gold Cobra" (2011). The band subsequently left Interscope, signed with Cash Money Records, and saw DJ Lethal briefly leave before returning in 2018. After years of teasing an album tentatively titled "Stampede of the Disco Elephants," they released their sixth studio album "Still Sucks" on October 31, 2021. Founding bassist Sam Rivers, who recruited Otto into the band, died in October 2025. Limp Bizkit has released 26 singles, with notable tracks including "Nookie," "Re-Arranged," "Break Stuff," "Take a Look Around," "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)," "My Generation," "My Way," "Eat You Alive," and a cover of The Who's 1971 single "Behind Blue Eyes," all of which have reached the top 20 of the US Alternative Airplay Chart. Following a few name changes, the members settled on the name Sevendust and released their self-titled debut, Sevendust, on April 15, 1997. The self-titled debut sold 311 copies its first week. However, through touring, and TVT support, the album gained charting success through Billboard and earned gold certification. Bassist Vince Hornsby joined drummer Morgan Rose in 1994, in a band called Snake Nation. John Connolly, a drummer, left his current band and joined Snake Nation as a guitarist. They recorded their first demo. Not happy with vocals, however, Snake Nation spent a year searching for a new singer before finding Lajon Witherspoon. Six months passed, Clint Lowery joined the band and they renamed themselves Rumblefish. Rumblefish was short-lived, however, because they found another band with the same name. They renamed themselves Crawlspace, and released My Ruin on the Mortal Kombat soundtrack album entitled More Kombat through TVT Records in 1996. Shortly after, another band named Crawlspace sent notice that they wanted $50,000 for the rights to their name. Rather than purchase the rights, the band members chose to rename themselves Sevendust. Sevendust released their self-titled debut on April 15, 1997, known for its heavy riffs, angry vocals and thrash-like drumming, as the songs Black and Bitch. Black was the opening song for nearly every Sevendust concert until 2004. The debut album also contains the song My Ruin, from the Mortal Kombat soundtrack. Sevendust appeared on the Billboard 200, remained there for sixteen weeks and peaked at 165 on April 4, 1998. The album went gold on May 19, 1999. In 1998, Sevendust performed at Dynamo Open Air (May 29–31) and Ozzfest 1998 (July through August). In the same year they released a compilation called Live and Loud which featured live footage of the bands September 16, 1998 performance at Chicago's Metro. On August 24, 1999, they released their second album, Home. The album peaked at 19 on the Billboard 200 and featured Skin from Skunk Anansie and Chino Moreno from Deftones as guest vocalists. The two singles from the album, "Denial" and "Waffle", gave the band moderate chart success, and the latter of which was played on the Late Night with Conan O'Brien show. They appeared in Woodstock 1999 and have toured with many bands such as Korn, Staind, Nonpoint, Reveille, Godsmack, Mudvayne, Mushroomhead, Powerman 5000, Creed, Kid Rock, Machine Head, Limp Bizkit, Disturbed, and Metallica. In 1999, they gained European exposure by opening for Skunk Anansie at various shows in Germany. They also opened with Kid Rock and Ted Nugent for Metallica on New Year's Eve in 1999 at the Pontiac Silverdome near Detroit, Michigan. They also joined Slipknot, Coal Chamber and other bands on the Tattoo the Earth Tour in June 2000. In November 2001, the band released their third album, Animosity. This album went gold and gained the band commercial success thanks to the success of singles "Praise" and "Angel's Son", which peaked at 15 and 11, respectively, on the Mainstream Rock Tracks. "Angel's Son" was a tribute to Lynn Strait, the lead singer of the band Snot, whom the members of Sevendust were friends with. Strait had died in a car accident in 1998. In addition to being included on Animosity, the song was included on the compilation album Strait Up. The band made an appearance on Late Night with David Letterman playing an acoustic version of "Angel's Son" featuring Paul Shaffer on keyboards. In the same year Sevendust was seen in the Chris Rock movie Down to Earth as a partial clip of "Waffle" is played. Another friend of the band, Dave Williams the lead singer of Drowning Pool, died in 2002. Tragedy would strike again when Lajon Witherspoon's younger brother was shot and killed later that year. Due to his death, Sevendust went on hiatus in 2002. In 2003, Sevendust returned with their fourth album, Seasons. The album debuted at #14 in the US, selling around 68,000 copies in its first week. This was one of the band's best received albums and to date features their highest charting single (tied with "Driven"), "Enemy," which peaked at #10 on the Mainstream Rock Chart. "Enemy" was made the official theme song for WWE Unforgiven 2003. Other singles released from the album, "Broken Down" and "Face to Face," met with more moderate success charting at 20 and 22, respectively. In 2004, for the first time in the band's career, they released a live album on a CD/DVD double disk package titled Southside Double-Wide Acoustic Live. Both the CD and the DVD include a cover of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails which is dedicated to Johnny Cash. On December 11, 2004, after playing a show in Columbus, Ohio, it was announced that Clint Lowery had left the band mid-tour, because he wanted to play with his brother Corey Lowery in his new band Dark New Day, who had reportedly just signed with Warner Bros. Records. A replacement was found for the rest of the dates and was eventually replaced by Sonny Mayo from Snot and Amen. At roughly the same time, Sevendust and TVT Records parted ways. On March 26, 2008, Sevendust announced that Clint Lowery, former guitarist and vocalist for the band, had quit his duties as guitarist for Dark New Day and would be returning to the Sevendust lineup in place of Sonny Mayo. On Lowery's return, Morgan Rose stated "This was extremely tough considering Sonny is our brother and has been amazing to work with. [Sonny] didn't do anything wrong at all; we just owe it to ourselves and all the folks that grew up with us to put our original band back together." Since formation, Sevendust has released fourteen studio albums, earned additional charting success and gold sales certifications. Their eighth studio album, titled Cold Day Memory was released on April 20, 2010. More recent studio albums include: Black Out the Sun, released on March 26, 2013, Time Travelers & Bonfires, released on April 15, 2014, Kill the Flaw, released on October 2, 2015, All I See Is War, released on May 11, 2018, Blood & Stone, released on October 23, 2020 and Truth Killer, released on July 28, 2023. Throughout it´s history the band has changed drastically in both sound and members for each album. Kittie formed when Fallon Bowman and Mercedes Lander met in gym class. Morgan Lander became the lead vocalist and one of Kittie's guitarists and Tanya Candler completed the band's lineup on bass. After signing to NG Records, Kittie released their debut album 'Spit', which was certified gold by the RIAA and sold at least 600,000 copies in the United States. The band released 'Oracle' in 2001 and 'Until the End' in 2004. In 2005, Kittie parted ways with Artemis Records and created their own label. The band released 'Funeral for Yesterday' in 2007 and signed to E1 Music in 2009. The band released 'In the Black' in 2009 and 'I've Failed You' in 2011. In 2014, Kittie made a documentary as a 20th anniversary of the band. In October 2016, it was announced that drummer/vocalist Mercedes Lander had started a new sludge/doom metal band called the White Swan that released the single "Illuminate". The debut EP, Anubis, was released on November 1, 2016. On February 11, 2017, bassist Trish Doan died at the age of 31. Doan had moved to Australia in 2013 and had frequently used her social media accounts to speak of her frustrations with depression. On August 30, 2017, the band announced that they would performing a three-set single concert on October 27, 2017, in their hometown of London, Ontario in the London Music Hall, featuring three different lineup variations made up of both current and former members. The concert marked the launch of their 20-year anniversary documentary, and featured the return of Candler, Bowman, Phillips, Arroyo and Vujic to perform songs from their respective eras. The concert was released on DVD format on March 26, 2019. On March 30, 2018, the documentary Kittie: Origins/Evolutions, which was filmed prior to the reunion concert, was released on Blu-ray and DVD for the very first time. Like they did with reunion concert, Atfield and Marx declined to participate; according to Morgan Lander, Atfield was supportive of the documentary, appearing in the initial crowdfunding pitch video, but "didn’t think it was the right move for her" to appear. Packaged with the movie was a CD featuring a collection of live performances by the band. Several months later, it was announced that Lander had joined the melodic death metal band, Karkaos, as their new lead singer. In October 2020, Mercedes Lander stated that it was unlikely that Kittie would reunite to perform again without a significant financial offer and the ability to include all of the band's former members. Like her sister, she also stated that she found it difficult to go forward with the band without Doan. Despite the previous doubts of the Lander sisters, Kittie would reunite, with Ivy Jenkins on bass. As alternative and nu-metal returned in popularity, the band was reached out to play several shows. On September 8, 2022, Kittie performed their first show since 2017 at the Blue Ridge Rock Festiva. In October , Kittie performed on all three days of the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas. With the new gained notoriety the band was then signed to Sumerian Records by label head Ash Avildsen and began working on new material in January 2023 and performed their first new song in 12 years, "Vultures", at the Sick New World Festival. It was formed in 1991 by Brian Vander Ark, Brad Vander Ark, Donny Brown and Brian Stout, releasing their first album, I've Suffered a Head Injury later that year. They released a second album Pop Smear helping to gain a devoted following in their native state of Michigan, which led to signing with RCA Records in 1995. Despite the similarity in name to the British band The Verve, there is no relation between the two. In 1992, working with producer/engineer Jon Frazer, they released their first album, I've Suffered a Head Injury, which featured an acoustic version of the band's calling-card hit, "The Freshmen." The original 10-song version of the CD is no longer available. A 7-song version, without the original recording of "The Freshmen" and two songs written by Stout, was later released as an EP. The band, known for its energetic live performances, built strong followings during its early years, especially in the college towns of Kalamazoo and East Lansing. In the fall of 1993, the band released a second album, Pop Smear again working with Frazer that helped them gain a devoted following in their native state of Michigan and their eventual signing with RCA Records in 1995. AJ Dunning replaced Stout on guitar for the recording of Pop Smear and remained in the band for their three RCA records. This album featured the popular tracks "Spoonful of Sugar" and "Victoria" among others. While Doug Corolla played on Pop Smear, he was not a full member of the band until 1994. Their first major label release was 1996's Villains, which was a minor hit and launched two respectably-selling singles, first Photograph then the #1 hit The Freshmen. They came back with The Verve Pipe in 1999, with such tracks as "Supergig," "Generations" and "She Has Faces." The album, however, failed to contain the commercial appeal of its predecessor. The band's final release for RCA Records was 2001's Underneath. The song "Colorful," from Underneath, was featured on the soundtrack of Rock Star. Underneath's release unfortunately coincided with the September 11th terroist attacks which contributed to the album's poor sales which led to the band being dropped from RCA. On September 15, 2009, Brian Vander Ark announced on his Web site that the band would be releasing a new album called A Family Album in October, 2009. The band had been approached to contribute a song for an album called "Calling All Kids" which led to them creating an entire album of family friendly songs. Lead singer Brian Vander Ark has also released four solo albums: 2003's Resurrection, 2006's Angel, Put Your Face On, 2008's self-titled release Brian Vander Ark and 2011's Magazine. Since the release of Underneath, the band's line up has changed frequently with former members including Joel Ferguson, Dan Matheny and John Conners. Continuing to build on the momentum they created with their first two releases, the young band… The teenage trio ASHES OF BILLY from Roskilde, Denmark, offer a blend of grunge, metal and punk, drawing inspiration from Danish powerhouses Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Kashmir, D.A.D and H.E.R.O as well as Seattle’s 90’s grunge scene. Continuing to build on the momentum they created with their first two releases, the young band recently released the brand new EP ‘Obscene’. Since forming in 2022, the young trio has self-released two EP’s – ‘Playdate’ in 2022 and ‘The Right Place’ in 2023, with their single ‘Shamed’ in rotation on national radio station myRock as well as being featured in Classic Rock Magazine’s ‘Tracks Of The Week’. Furthermore the band has played more than a dozen shows nationwide, including support for acts such as Red Warszawa, Siamese and Psyched Up Janis. Founded by CEO Mirza Radonjica, PRIME COLLECTIVE currently has offices in Copenhagen and London. Formed in 2022 in Roskilde, Denmark, Ashes of Billy consists of Daniel Aabenhus Hermann (vocals/guitar), Anton Stampe (bass) , Johan Borgaa (drums). After meeting by chance in a music store in Malmö, Sweden, Johan and Daniel became friends and started playing together. A few years later, Anton joined and in the summer of 2022, AOB played their first concert. Since then, the band has played a lot of concerts, including opening for big bands like Siamese and Psyched Up Janis, and played big events like ‘When Copenhell Freezes Over’, the award show ‘Den Hårde Tone’ and ‘Copenhell Metal Cruise’.
