More than one artists with same name. 1) Ovlov is a three piece band from Connecticut. Combining the overloaded guitar attack and rhythmic power of vintage Dinosaur Jr. with the winsome songcraft of Built to Spill, the Connecticut band Ovlov revolves around the dynamic guitar heroics and emotionally true vocals of Steve Hartlett. The band launched with promising EPs in 2009 and 2001, and exploded with the 2013 album Am, which helped the band become a popular under-the-radar alternative to the polished emo scene of the time. Soon afterward, however, the band cracked under the pressure, both internally and externally, and Hartlett formed the band Stove. The break didn't last long, though, and Ovlov returned to the fray in 2018 with their second album of guitar heroics and melancholy, TRU. As youngsters in Connecticut, Hartlett, his brothers Theo and Jon, and various friends played together in the band Home Movies in the mid-2000s, but when he grew tired of that he started Ovlov. With a fluctuating lineup based around Hartlett and his songs, the group began playing shows and in 2009, released the Crazy Motorcycle Jump EP. Featured on that release were Hartlett's brother Theo on drums, Dave Berliner on bass, and Quentin Ham on guitar. The band's gnarly guitar work and heartfelt emo-meets-indie sound caught on, thanks in no small part to the efforts of Greg Horbal of The World Is a Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid to Die in getting the word about them out. Their next release, the 2011 What's So Great About the City EP, had Michael Falcone on drums and a guest appearance by Speedy Ortiz's Sadie Dupuis on vocals. The revolving cast of players spun again as they began recording their first album, this time putting Theo back in the drum seat and third Hartlett brother Jon on bass. The trio recorded the album quickly with Michael John Thomas III of Green Is Green helping out and Dupuis guesting again on vocals. Hartlett and Thomas then traded the tapes back and forth for six months, tweaking things until they were happy with the result. By then, the band had signed with the Brooklyn label Exploding in Sound and Am was issued in July of 2013. Soon afterward, the lineup changed again and Jon Hartlett left the band. They recruited old friend Michael "Boner" Hammond, Jr. to play bass and Morgan Luzzi to play guitar, then recorded a song, "The Great Crocodile," for a 2014 split single with the band Little Big League and another, "Ohmu Shell," for a single with LVL UP, Krill, and Radiator Hospital. The band continued playing with Hartlett writing songs, but they broke up in early 2015 before they could record another album. Hartlett rebounded with Stove, whose first album, 2015's Is Stupider, not surprisingly featured Hartlett playing all the instruments himself. The lineup expanded for live shows and further recordings, like the 2016 EP Is a Toad in the Rain. Around the time of that EP, Ovlov reformed with the same members as when they split and began working on another album. With a mix of songs written for the record, some played live but never recorded and some taken from demos made before Ovlov had even formed, TRU saw the band working with Michael John Thomas III again in Brooklyn. The record was released by Exploding in Sound in mid-2018. ~ Tim Sendra 2) Ovlov is also a three piece rock band from Brescia, Italy. Lù Pangra (vocals, guitar) and Luigi Ancellotti (bass) had played together in Black Eyed Susan and formed Ovlov with drummer Michele Marelli. Their debut album "Margaret, Frank and the Bear" was released in late 2010.

The Chicago house community has brought greater attention to all the city’'s great djs, including the genre busting DJ Heather. Widely regarded as one of the premier selectors in the nation, this Chicagoan demonstrates her skills and sharp deck acumen for the masses throughout the Windy City and the world at large with verve and undeniable talent. Her interest in music was sparked early on by her parents’ eclectic music collection. A full spectrum of jazz, blues, rock, soul and folk was part of the Robinson household. With a foundation set, she began to discover her own tastes ranging from the Jackson 5, Chic, Blondie and Kiss. The British New Wave, Ska, Punk the burgeoning Hip Hop and Industrial movements further sparked her enthusiasm for music. “ "I felt as if I was on a mission of discovery. Vintage Vinyl and Big Daddy’s in Evanston became my haunts. I loved finding new bands and sounds such as Depeche Mode, The Specials, Black Flag, Treacherous Three and Ministry making them my own. I would then share them with friends by making tapes. “Medusa’s presented a true club experience to underage kids. I think the teens of Chi-town felt that they weren’t really missing out on what the adults were doing. That was undoubtedly our own world. If we were lucky enough to sneak into clubs like La Ray’s, Warehouse and The Music box that made our dance music experiences all the more meaningful”." Primarily known in the Chicago dance community as a “hip hop” dj, she began a shift in the material she played. “It was never a intentional choice to spin house music instead of hip hop. The demand simply seemed to intensify after each gig. Over time she moved on to specialize in house and maintains a soulful head-bobbing approach. Heather'’s track selection sends a nod of respect to the forbearers of Chicago’s signature sound. “Many things influence me, more than one sound” She fuses disco, classic house and techno. She drops tracks by producers who understand the forward curve of the electronic music scene. Commanding the crowd’s attention and keeping their feet moving. Soon her presence within the Windy City scene began to solidify and her reputation nationally began to grow. “Getting a chance to play outside Chicago definitely has been a combination of luck and timing. Friends, acquaintances and follow djs have looked out by suggesting me for gigs. Promoters, thankfully, trusted their opinions.” That kind of luck would play a big part in her first gig in Europe. By chance a tape was passed on to a promoter and lead to a trip to Paris. In 1998 she was asked by San Francisco transplant and fellow Chicagoan Mark Farina to support his Mushroom Jazz 2 cd tour. Truly the ultimate compliment.” She would later join him on the road in support of the third and fourth installments of the Mushroom Jazz series. As well as the house release San Francisco Sessions for Om Records in 1999. The cd also featured “Something Else” her first of three collaborations with 2nd Shift (JT Donaldson and Tim Shumaker) originally available on Seasons Recordings. A year later Heather released her own officially licensed mix “Tangerine” for the Chicago based Afterhours label. "“With my debut compilation I hoped to simply illustrate that I could program and mix. I think I achieved that”." With stand out reviews she hit the road on her own. That same year she returned to Chicago club staple Smartbar to begin her second residency at the venue. 2002 marked her inaugural trip to South Africa. That year Heather also began her relationship with the London club Fabric. Named after her favorite soy yogurt, Blackcherry Recordings, made its debut with the buzz worthy single “Picture of You” featuring Heather along with D.C.’s own Eastcoast Boogiemen. “ 2005 also marked Heather’s installment to the much heralded Fabric CD series, for the club of the same name. With 15 years of experienced behind her Dj Heather has grown to become one of the Windy City’s main Dj exports. She is an artist who defies conformity, defines quality and continues to nurture her solid skills for soul music of the technological generation.

Austin TV is a mexican independent five piece band located in Mexico City, formed in 2001 they bet for the instrumental sound with influences like Mogwai, Yo La Tengo, many of the second wave Post-Emo Indie Rock bands like Mineral and The Get Up Kids and Post-Hardcore such as At The Drive-In and Hot Water Music Also, their live shows are composed by theater-like costumes, adding a feeling of magic and amusement to their music, some of their costumes have been bunnies, astronauts, baseball players, clowns, hawaiian tourists, ice cream truck drivers and many more. Their discography is composed by Asrael, a limited edition CD with the first materials they recorded in studio and live performances in Mexican College Radio "Ibero 90.9"; in 2002, they released "Austin TV", an EP composed by five songs, and the 2003 album "La Última Noche del Mundo" (The Last Night of The World), this album is acclaimed by their fans and critics, the singles "Rucci" and "Olvidé decir Adiós" had heavy rotation in the mexican radio stations "Reactor 105" and "Ibero 90.9" Recently they recorded the score for the Independent Film "Más que nada en el mundo" (More Than anything in the World), in may 5th 2007, they released "Fontana Bella", their new album, recorded in their own Studio "Asrael" and "El Ensayo", a studio owned by the members of Café Tacvba. Fontana Bella tells the story of Mario Lupo, an old men living in the forest and having supernatural expiriences with forest spirits about close friends and other things. For some people, working with a sibling would be nearly impossible. But for identical twin sisters Hallie and Dylinn Mayes, starting a band together was the only thing that made sense. So when the two discovered music was their calling, they formed GOOD BOY DAISY, becoming an alt-pop duo with plenty of rock influence. “It’s amazing to see how our chemistry is,” says Hallie, referring to both their onstage personas as well as their day-to-day experiences recording. “It’s unfairly easy.” Raised on a steady diet of ‘90s grunge, the sisters inherited a lot of their early music taste from their father, as well as many rounds of the video game Rock Band. As they grew older, their music interests became even more intertwined. “We’ll never complain about who has the aux cord,” says Hallie with a laugh. The duo are going for it every way they can; along with future song releases on the horizon, they’re more than ready to tour and play for crowds again. “We really shine when we play live,” says Hallie. “We’re excited to show everyone how fun our concerts can be.” Beyond that, the two just want Good Boy Daisy to be known to the world. “As a band, we hope to become the coolest household name,” says Dylinn. “We’re real people,” says Hallie, “and I can’t wait for everyone to know who we are.”
