Twin Tribes are a Dark Synth / Post Punk duo based in Brownsville, Texas. Formed by Luis Navarro (vocals, guitar, synth, drum machines) and Joel Niño, Jr. (bass, synth, vocals) in 2017. The band gathers their influences from the period of the dark ’80s. Dark Wave, Post-Punk and Cold Wave are only a couple of genres that the band summons using analog synthesizers and drum machines. Dark melodic sounds, lyrics of the undead, the occult, and parallel universes are what conjure Twin Tribes. Night Club is an electronic pop duo from Los Angeles, CA that features Emily Kavanaugh (vocalist) and Mark Brooks (producer). Formed in 2011, Brooks and Kavanaugh began writing songs together with the goal of creating a synth pop band with a darker edge. Although Brooks comes with a lengthy pedigree in performing/DJ-ing (Warlock Pinchers, Foreskin 500, Le Pimp and MegaJive), this marks Kavanaugh’s first entrance into performing following in the steps of her father, Kevin Kavanaugh (keyboardist from the legendary New Jersey band Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes). “Lovestruck” is the first single from their forthcoming debut EP and is now available worldwide on iTunes, Amazon, and Emusic.

The music of Chicago electronic duo WINGTIPS is a throbbing head full of ecstasy outside the goth club, hi-hats like goosebumps as your crush paints your eyes black to match their own, fluorescent guitar glimmers of desire -even hope- edging out through the apathy of the bleakest horizon. Their most recent release, GREYAREA, is an androgynous sound of transition, interpolating darkly shimmering layers of angular guitar and pulsating touches of EBM, sharpening their unabashed anthemic rush with a maturing melodic complexity and atmosphere as much informed by post-punk as sweeping electronica. Still, as in records past, the twin pantheons of synthpop and classic VG music are invoked —not as tribute or pastiche, instead fleetingly familiar textures interwoven in a fashion as singular and cooly assured as mastermind Vincent Segretario’s voice, which propels the EP— crying out loud and whispering the words to poems you never sent. Alongside Segretario, Hannah Avalon moves from live member to creative collaborator, contributing to the ethereal come up of “Glass" and the ecstatic lullaby of closer “Wading." The two have worked together in both anarcho-punk bands and musical theater productions, and somehow this wildly divergent history finds triumphant amalgamation in GREYAREA. This is the soundtrack to an impossible John Hughes movie where all the kids wear black lipstick and dance to the end of the world and everyone kisses and all hearts break when the credits roll. Recently, WINGTIPS has had the pleasure of supporting artists such as THE TWILIGHT SAD (during US Tour with The Cure), PALE DīAN, JACK LADDER & THE DREAMLANDERS, and SOFT KILL to name a few.
