Fremont
Fremont is a small lake-country town in Steuben County, where live music tends to follow the rhythms of the resort season. The annual Fremont Music Festival draws visitors to enjoy live performances alongside local food vendors. Live, local, and touring acts have rocked the Fremont Fair since the annual celebration began in 1971. For year-round live music, The Lake Shack is the town's dedicated venue. A bar and grill located right on Snow Lake, it is known for its inviting atmosphere. A dock provides access from Snow Lake, which is part of the Lake James chain of lakes. The bar has a feel of the lakes and the tropics. Frequent special events and live music nights draw in both locals and tourists. The Fort Wayne-based band Island Vibe has become a regular at the Shack, playing there many years on Wednesday nights. The venue is 21 and older only.
