Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1994. Initially founded as a one-man project by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, the band has included Grohl (vocals and guitar), Nate Mendel (bass), Pat Smear (guitar), Chris Shiflett (guitar), Rami Jaffee (keyboards), and Ilan Rubin (drums). Former members have included Franz Stahl (guitar), William Goldsmith (drums), Taylor Hawkins (drums), and Josh Freese (drums). Grohl created the project to release solo material following the disbandment of Nirvana in 1994. He recorded the band's self-titled debut album, "Foo Fighters" (1995), largely on his own over six days. After attracting record label interest, he recruited Mendel and Goldsmith, both formerly of Sunny Day Real Estate, and Smear, who had previously toured with Nirvana. The band performed its first public concert in February 1995, several months before the album's release. During the recording of their second album, "The Colour and the Shape" (1997), Goldsmith left the band and Grohl re-recorded most of the drum parts. Smear departed soon afterward and was replaced by Stahl, who had previously played with Grohl in the band Scream. Stahl was dismissed before the recording of the third album, "There Is Nothing Left to Lose" (1999), after which the band temporarily continued as a trio until Shiflett joined following the album’s completion. The band released "One by One" in 2002, followed by the double album "In Your Honor" (2005), which combined acoustic and heavier material. Their sixth studio album, "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" (2007), followed. For the seventh album, "Wasting Light" (2011), produced by Butch Vig, Smear returned as a full-time member after frequently performing with the band since 2005. "Sonic Highways" (2014) was released as a soundtrack to a television miniseries directed by Grohl. "Concrete and Gold" (2017) became the band’s second album to reach number one in the United States and the first to feature longtime touring keyboardist Jaffee as an official member. The band released their tenth studio album, "Medicine at Midnight," in 2021. It was the final album recorded before the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022. Their eleventh album, "But Here We Are," was released in June 2023. Freese served as drummer from 2023 to 2025, after which Rubin assumed the role. Foo Fighters have won 15 Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Album five times. In 2021, they received the Global Icon Award at the MTV Video Music Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. Queens of the Stone Age is an American rock band formed in Seattle in 1996. The band was founded by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme shortly before he returned to his native Palm Desert, California. Homme has been the only constant member throughout multiple line-up changes; since 2013, the line-up has consisted of Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore.

The War on Drugs is an American indie rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Band member Adam Granduciel (born Adam Granofsky in Dover, Massachusetts) moved from Oakland, California to Philadelphia in 2003, where he met Kurt Vile and began playing music with him. They began playing as The War on Drugs in 2005, and self-released a demo EP. While Vile and Granduciel formed the backbone of the band, they had a number of accompanists early in the group's career, before finally settling on a lineup that added Charlie Hall as drummer/organist, Kyle Lloyd as drummer and Dave Hartley on bass. Granduciel had previously toured and recorded with The Capitol Years, and Vile has several solo albums. The group gave away its Barrel of Batteries EP for free early in 2008. Their debut LP for Secretly Canadian, Wagonwheel Blues, was released in 2008. Reviewers of the band's music make note of its Americana overtones. The group's sound has been described as influenced by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and My Bloody Valentine. The lineup underwent several changes, and by the end of 2008, Kurt Vile, Charlie Hall, and Kyle Lloyd had all exited the group. Granduciel and Hartley were joined by drummer Mike Zanghi as the group slimmed to three members. After Zanghi's exit in 2010, Steven Urgo took over drum duties and Robbie Bennett joined on keys.

4 Non Blondes is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1989. The group’s lineup has included Linda Perry on guitar and vocals, Christa Hillhouse on bass, Dawn Richardson on drums, and Roger Rocha on guitar. Founding members Shaunna Hall and Wanda Day also performed with the band during its early period. The band released their debut album "Bigger, Better, Faster, More!" in 1992. The album spent 59 weeks on the US Billboard 200 and sold more than six million copies worldwide. Its single "What’s Up?" reached number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and topped charts in multiple countries, becoming the band’s best-known song. Perry departed from the group in 1994, after which the remaining members disbanded. 4 Non Blondes reunited for a one-off performance in 2014 and announced a longer-term reunion in 2025, including plans for additional performances and new material. Gary Lee Clark Jr. is an American guitarist and singer who fuses blues, rock and soul music with elements of hip hop. In 2011, Clark signed with Warner Bros. Records and released The Bright Lights EP. It was followed by the albums Blak and Blu (2012) and The Story of Sonny Boy Slim (2015). Throughout his career, Clark has been a prolific live performer, documented by Gary Clark Jr. Live (2014) and Gary Clark Jr Live/North America (2017).

Nine Days is an American rock band from Long Island, New York. It was formed in the hamlet of St. James, Suffolk County, New York in 1994 by John Hampson and Brian Desveaux, and released three independent albums in the 1990s before their mainstream debut album, The Madding Crowd, released in 2000. The band scored a hit in the United States from the album The Madding Crowd, with the single "Absolutely ".

After releasing debut album “What Was” in April of 2022, The Stews have been a non-stop touring machine, playing packed-out shows across the country. Forming at Auburn University, the band ultimately decided to leave school to meet the massive demand for their live shows.
