Baraboo
Baraboo's most prominent live-music draw is Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells, a casino on Hwy 12 that presents concerts and shows throughout the year at its convention center. The casino has run a Hot Summer Concert Series featuring acts like Roots & Boots, the 80s Rock Tour, Little River Band, and Rodney Carrington. Ticketed shows from national touring acts, such as The Band Perry and Grand Funk Railroad, also appear on its calendar. Beyond the casino, Baraboo hosts a free outdoor concert series at its downtown Courthouse Square on Thursday evenings from June through August. All concerts are held on the Sauk County Courthouse Lawn. Downtown, Square Tavern hosts live music on occasion, giving locals a small-bar option closer to the city center. Overall, the casino is the main engine for ticketed, larger-scale shows in town.
