Blair
Blair is a small city on the Missouri River about 30 miles north of Omaha, and its live-music identity is largely tied to the waterfront. Since the late 1960s, Cottonwood Cove has been a fixture for Missouri River fun in Blair. The resort's bar and restaurant, The Lodge, is the main live-music draw in town. During the season, the venue runs live music on a 40-foot riverfront stage every weekend. The Lodge books local, regional, and national acts all summer, with tribute bands a particular specialty. DJ sets and other special events round out the calendar. Shows are open to the public with no cover charge. Guests can arrive by car from Omaha, walk in from an RV site, or pull up by boat along the Missouri through the marina. Recent bookings have included tribute acts covering Hardy, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, and Miranda Lambert. Outside of Cottonwood Cove, Blair's annual Gateway to the West Days festival in June also brings live music to town.
