Geneseo
Geneseo, a small city about 20 miles east of the Quad Cities, keeps live music close to its downtown. Geneseo Brewing, on South State Street, runs a regular lineup of live music spanning folk, rockabilly, acoustic, and rock every Saturday, plus some Fridays in summer, and moves concerts to its adjacent parking lot when the weather allows. During the annual Geneseo Music Festival, the brewery hosts multiple sets in a single day, with acts like Geneseo Panic, TaG, and Jerm Theory taking the stage in succession. The Music Festival itself, now in its late 50s as an annual event, runs Father's Day Weekend each June in City Park. The festival draws acts across rock, country, jazz, and blues.
