Culver
Culver is a small college-preparatory boarding school town on Lake Maxinkuckee, and its main live-music venue reflects that character. Eppley Auditorium, built in 1959 and seating roughly 1,492, was purpose-built as Culver's first fully functioning facility for concerts, theater, and other fine arts. It sits on the Culver Academies campus and serves double duty: the school's own fine-arts program fills the calendar with student music performances, while the Huffington Concert Series brings visiting professional artists to the stage. Recent Huffington bookings have included professional chamber ensembles such as Palaver Strings. Outside the auditorium, the Culver Park outdoor amphitheater hosts three free public concerts each summer, one each in June, July, and August.
