Cost Of Desire formed in Columbia, MO, from the remains of the local alt-metal band Arsenic Dream around March of 2011. Shaun (Bass), Beazl (Drums), and Josh (Vocals) were looking to form a new band, with a heavy focus on rock, instead of metal. After talking with several guitarists, they contacted Justin, who was the guitarist for the now defunct local band, Numb. After a few jam sessions Justin officially decided to join. Justin had numerous songs written, and collaborated with the new band to get a good list of originals going, and develop a sound together.
As of March 3rd, 2012 Cost Of Desire welcomed new rhythm guitarist Eric. The addition of another guitar has helped the band really define their sound.
In April 2012 the band parted ways with Josh as our singer.
As of July 11, 2012 we made it official that Michael was the new lead singer of Cost Of Desire.
The five piece group has created a unique sound, and all have the passion to rock and bring people a gift of music to hear. The band just realeased it's first EP demo, titled Prologue. It is best described as a modern hard, melodic rock.
