Gainesville

Gainesville is the county seat of Hall County, on the shores of Lake Lanier, and its live-music options split fairly cleanly between rock and country. Blackstrap Rock Hall, at 852 Main Street SW, is Gainesville's go-to for live rock, metal, and alternative music. The all-ages venue runs a steady calendar of concerts alongside comedy nights, art shows, and monthly psychic fairs. It bills itself as an "all-ages metal haven." Harold's Honky Tonk sits in downtown Gainesville at 212 Spring Street, pairing country music with dancing, trivia, bingo, pool tables, and darts. Live music runs every Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The spot rebranded from an earlier music cafe to bring a country focus downtown. The Hall at Bourbon Brothers is Gainesville's larger live-music and entertainment venue, drawing national and regional acts to the North Georgia foothills. Its booking history includes established country acts like BlackHawk and tribute shows such as a GlowBand Eagles tribute.
