Canton
Canton sits about 30 miles southwest of Peoria, and its live-music activity centers on a handful of bars and a newer outdoor space downtown. Billy's Tap, a third-generation, family-owned bar and grill on East Elm Street, has been part of the community since 1948 and books local and regional acts, with bands like Lick Creek and Rezzin8 appearing on its calendar. Brew N Cue, also on Elm Street, claims the largest beer garden in Fulton County and operates a sizable outdoor stage, hosting live music alongside pool tables and dart tournaments. A Facebook post from a regional rock band specifically called out Brew N Cue as a destination for live rock and roll. The Canton Opera House Plaza, built on a downtown site affected by a 2016 gas explosion, has added an outdoor performance space, with the Canton History and Arts Alliance using it for a free, all-ages tribute-band concert series.
