Galesburg
Galesburg's live-music activity runs through its walkable downtown, where much of the city's energy centers on the Seminary Street Historic District. Larger touring acts often play at the historic Orpheum Theatre, while smaller rooms handle the regular weekend load. Downtown is the best bet for live music, with brewery shows and intimate open mics, and Cherry Street Brewing Company keeps a regular music schedule. Reserve Artisan Ales occupies a 1953 building that functions as both a brewery and event venue, and hosts live music frequently during patio season. Cactus Country on W. Main St. is known for live bands and a lively atmosphere. The Corral books dance-floor nights with live acts, and Seminary Street Pub has hosted album release shows. Hidden Hills Vineyard and Winery draws acoustic performers for Sunday afternoon sets. Big Catz BBQ, just outside Galesburg in Knoxville, is a sports bar that hosts both local and nationally known bands, and runs an annual country music event called Grills & Guitars.
