Lincoln, Illinois sits along Route 66 in Logan County, and its live-music options center on two downtown bars that pair drinks with local and regional performers. Copper & Oak Bourbon and Craft Beer Bar sits in the Route 66 Plaza in historic downtown Lincoln. It is Lincoln's only bourbon bar, with 20-plus taps of craft beer. The bar opened in 2024 and has quickly become a regular live-music stop, drawing acoustic duos, piano-and-vocal acts, and regional solo artists. Sets tend toward classic songs from the '60s through the '90s, stripped down to guitar, piano, and voices. Spirited Republic/Limerick Brewing Company grew out of founders Bussy and Colleen Roate and Troy Hanger's love of home brewing. The taproom pours 40 craft beers on tap and 8 wines on tap. The venue hosts live acts including local variety bands and singer-songwriters, along with trivia nights and open mic nights. Patrons can take their drinks to a back patio shared with Guzzardo's Italian Villa and Top Hat Creamery. Together, the two spots give Lincoln a compact but consistent bar-based music scene suited to an evening out in a small Route 66 town.
