Pekin's live-music calendar splits between the outdoors and the bar. Mineral Springs Park holds the Steven D. Skinner Performing Arts Venue, an outdoor stage that hosts concerts, community events like the annual Marigold Festival, plays, musicals, and more. The Pekin Park Concert Band plays free Sunday concerts there each summer. The park's summer concert series has also brought in acts like Backstreet Band and Felix & Fingers Dueling Pianos. On the bar side, Twisted Spoke Saloon on Derby Street is a Central Illinois stop for live music and comedy, booking loud guitars, country, tribute nights, and stand-up in an intimate room. The 21+ venue seats around 140. Whiskey Taco rounds out the local lineup as a third music venue in town.
