Pontiac's live-music calendar centers on the bandshell at Humiston-Riverside Park, which runs two separate free summer series back to back. Rockin' at the River, presented by the City of Pontiac, brings a varied lineup of acts to the park on Thursday evenings, with concerts running 6:30 to 8:30 PM. On Fridays, the same stage hosts the Pontiac Municipal Band, made up of local musicians, with shows starting at 7:00 PM. Thursday's series draws touring acts, blues bands, string bands, and polka groups, while the Friday series leans toward traditional concert-band repertoire. The Eagle Performing Arts and Conference Center at 319 N. Plum St. serves as the indoor weather backup for Rockin' at the River, and books its own shows independently. Da202 GuestHaus, a private residence on E. Howard St., opens its doors to the community for live music and fundraising events, with no cover charge and donations welcome.
