Live Music Open Mic Night
Open mic night hosted by Garry Valentine
A city in the Detroit area
Holly is a small historic village about 50 miles north of Detroit, better known for its annual Dickens Festival and Michigan Renaissance Festival than for a dense club scene. Its main dedicated music spot is Battle Alley Brewing Co., named after a real street in downtown Holly where many disputes were settled, including a famous brawl when a traveling circus came to town in the 1880s. The craft brewery pours a wide selection of beers, spirits, wine, ciders, seltzers, and mead alongside pit BBQ, live sports, and events. On the music side, Sunday afternoons bring the recurring "Hoppy Jams Session" with live music from 4 to 7 p.m., while Monday nights shift to live trivia. Beyond those weekly slots, the brewery fosters community through additional live music events and trivia nights. For a village this size, Battle Alley functions as the central gathering point for live entertainment in Holly proper.
