Troy's one dedicated live-music room is the V Lounge inside Eddie V's Prime Seafood, at 2100 W Big Beaver Road. The restaurant pairs prime seafood and steaks with live music trios nightly. The genre is jazz, and the kitchen's self-described specialty is excellence. Trios and quartets described as locally and nationally acclaimed take the stage every night starting at 6:30. One reviewer noted that Eddie V's keeps some of the area's best musicians working seven nights a week. Beyond that single room, Troy itself is not a dedicated live-music city. The city does run a Summer Sensation Concert Series in a public outdoor setting, drawing tribute and cover acts. For original-act clubs and larger stages, residents typically head to nearby Royal Oak, Birmingham, or Clarkston.
