Evening Star Trio is a Detroit jazz and neo-soul ensemble led by drummer Tariq Gardner, blending jazz improvisation, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and contemporary Black American music. They released Gateway Drug (2023) and Vice Tape (2024), and won NPR Detroit's 'Sounds Like Detroit' contest in 2025.
