Comstock Park
Comstock Park is a quiet, residential community just north of Grand Rapids, and its live-music options reflect that character: two distinct spots, each with its own draw. Ed Dunneback & Girls Farm, a fifth-generation family farm on the northwest side of Grand Rapids, runs live music weekly and hosts a monthly Farm Concert Series. The farm's music roots go back to 1922, when the original owner hosted a barn dance every Saturday. Regular solo performers have included Gunnar Nyblad of Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys and singer-guitarist Kevin Schaffer. No ticket is needed to hear music or order food and drinks inside the barn. The Score pairs a family-friendly sports bar with an outdoor entertainment venue that holds three full-sized beach volleyball courts, a sand dining area, palm trees, and live entertainment seven days a week. Locally owned and operated since 2007, summer is prime time for live music, volleyball, and the full sand-and-palm experience.
