Fond du Lac

The Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts (THELMA), in downtown Fond du Lac, is a nonprofit arts center that presents both indoor and outdoor concerts alongside visual arts, theater, and literary programming. On the music side, it runs two recurring series: the Great Hall Concert Series, an indoor ticketed lineup that brings in local and touring acts, and Thirteen Thursdays, 13 free outdoor evening concerts on Sheboygan Street every Thursday through summer, featuring a mix of original and cover bands. The Lighthouse Big Band, a 20-plus-year mainstay, serves as a resident ensemble, performing Tuesday evenings as part of the Fountain City Jazz and Dance Club. THELMA books across a wide range of genres; past performers have included Davina and the Vagabonds, Tamir Hendelman with Tierney Sutton, and Allison Mahal. Many concerts are free, in keeping with the center's commitment to community access.
