Sturgeon Bay

The Tambourine Lounge, operating as the Tambourine Collaboratory at 59 N. 2nd Ave., is built around the idea of creative community, drawing musicians, artists, and songwriters to work and perform together. It hosts events like the "Tambo Sideshow," where Pat MacDonald plays a set randomized by the audience. Writers' Night, a regular event there, invites performers to share original songs, stories, and poetry. The venue has also hosted touring singer-songwriters. Out on County Road C, The Fiddler's Farm brings classic country, western swing, and bluegrass to a 118-year-old barn, aiming for an all-ages, family-friendly show. Genres include classic country, bluegrass, western swing, and occasional Irish jig, with sets drawing on artists like Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, and Bill Monroe. The farm closes in winter. Together, the two venues reflect Sturgeon Bay's range: an intimate downtown room rooted in original songwriting and a rural barn stage focused on American roots traditions.
