Gas City

Gas City sits about an hour north of Indianapolis, strategically positioned just off I-69 between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne. City leaders identified a gap in touring acts between the two cities and saw Gas City as the right spot to fill it. The Gas City Performing Arts Center is the area's anchor music venue. The 1,830-seat facility spans over 39,000 square feet and features state-of-the-art audio, video, and lighting. Opened in fall 2024, it is designed to host national touring artists from many genres and serves as the home of the fine arts programs at Mississinewa Community Schools. Recent and upcoming bookings include reggae act UB40 with founding lead singer Ali Campbell, country artist Drake White, and Grammy-winning gospel singer David Phelps. Tribute acts also figure prominently in the calendar. Beyond the PAC, Gas City Concerts at the Park runs a free summer series on Tuesday evenings at Gas City Park on S. Broadway St., drawing local and regional bands to an outdoor bandshell.
