Muncie

Muncie's live-music offerings run from a late-night DIY bar to major performing-arts halls on the Ball State University campus. Ball State's performance halls bring guest artists and celebrities of national and international prominence to East Central Indiana. Pruis Hall is a 640-seat venue on campus used for performing arts among other functions. Designed to resemble the shape of a grand piano, it hosts the Coffee and Cabernet Series, pairing internationally known artists with an intimate room where attendees can enjoy wine, craft beer, or coffee. It also serves as the rain venue for outdoor concerts held at the adjacent Brown Family Amphitheater. Emens Auditorium is the campus's larger hall, handling bigger touring productions and headline acts. Be Here Now DIY Music Venue and Craft Brew Bar sits at 505 N Dill St in the Village neighborhood. It is a go-to spot for underground bands, cheap drinks, and an inclusive crowd, open Wednesday through Sunday until 3:00 AM. Downtown's Canan Commons also runs a free annual summer concert series featuring nationally recognized recording artists.
