Riverside
Riverside's live-music identity is built almost entirely around one address: Morton Amphitheater, a Live Nation-operated outdoor venue that opened in 2026 as the first major outdoor concert venue in Riverside, filling a significant gap in the northern metro's entertainment offerings. Renderings show the ambitious scope of the 16,000-seat venue, designed to create an immersive experience from the moment fans arrive. It sits off I-635 and Horizons Parkway, near the KC Current's practice facility. The naming-rights sponsor is Morton Salt, and this amphitheater is the famous salt company's first-ever live music investment. The venue's general manager has said Morton aims to attract major touring acts that haven't previously performed in the Kansas City area, pointing to acts like Guns N' Roses and Chris Stapleton as examples of the scale it's targeting. Partially covered seating addresses Missouri's unpredictable weather while maintaining an outdoor concert atmosphere. The venue reports plans to host 30-plus concerts each season and welcome 500,000-plus fans annually.
