Corrosion of Conformity is an American heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. This band has undergone multiple line-up changes throughout its existence with guitarist Woody Weatherman as the sole constant member. Weatherman, founding bassist Mike Dean, founding drummer Reed Mullin, and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan (who joined the band in 1989) are widely regarded as its classic line-up.[5] After a hiatus in 2006, Corrosion of Conformity returned in 2010 without Keenan, who had been busy touring and recording with Down, but announced their reunion with him in December 2014. The band started as a hardcore punk band but later moved towards a slower and blues-tinged heavy metal sound. To date, the band has released ten studio albums, four EPs, one compilation, and one live album. Their first three studio albums―Eye for an Eye (1984), Animosity (1985) and Blind (1991)―attracted the attention of Columbia Records, who signed the band in 1993. Corrosion of Conformity found success with the release of their 1994 fourth studio album, Deliverance, which peaked at number 155 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hits "Albatross" and "Clean My Wounds". Their 1996 follow-up Wiseblood was also successful, and at the time, it was Corrosion of Conformity's highest-charting album in the United States, peaking at number 104 on the Billboard 200. Their latest album, No Cross No Crown, was released on January 12, 2018 on Nuclear Blast Records, and became the band's first album to enter the Top 100 on the Billboard 200, where it peaked at number 67.

The Sword is an American heavy metal band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 2003, the band is composed of vocalist and guitarist John D. Cronise, guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie and drummer Santiago "Jimmy" Vela III for most of its tenure. Originally signed to Kemado Records, the group released their debut album Age of Winters in 2006, the material for which had been largely written by Cronise prior to the band's formation. Gods of the Earth was released two years later, giving the group its first entry on the US Billboard 200 chart when it reached number 102.

A stoner/doom metal band formed in 2017 by multi-instrumentalist Eddie Brnabic (Beggars Ball, ex-Blessid Electric, ex-Moto-Shiner, ex-Brothership Connection, and ex-Zappada) when he moved to Portland, Oregon, USA from Los Angeles. After trying a few different lineups with the new material he was working on, Brnabic recruited his girlfriend, Laura Phillips to play bass, ex- Nether Regions drummer Ryan Moore, and Ben Jackson (Sioux, ex-A((wake))) to handle keyboard/vocals. With this lineup, the band released their debut full-length 111 on Cursed Tongue Records in 2019. The album received positive reviews and lead to a deal with US/Italian label Heavy Psych Sounds, who would release the split with High Reeper Doom Sessions, Vol. 5 in 2021 and HDC's follow up album Circle of Days the same year. This would be their last release as a quartet as months after the album's release, Ben Jackson announced his departure from the band, leaving Phillips to take over on vocals. Despite some concern over the future of the group following Jackson's departure, a set at the Heavy Psych Sounds Festival in San Fransisco in 2022 proved to fans that they had nothing to worry about. That summer, the trio would embark on a tour of the U.S.A., featuring stops at Ripplefest in Austin, Texas and Psycho Las Vegas. The year would also see their first release as a trio with the single for Nice to Know You in July. Ryan Moore would also part ways with the band in November 2022, and the remaining (temporary) duo would announce his replacement Harry Silvers (Robots of the Ancient World) in early 2023. After adding Silvers to the lineup, the band would release singles for Arise and Better Days in July and August respectively before the release of their third full-length Helichrysum on Heavy Psych Sounds. In early 2024, the band posted a cover of the Nirvana song Aneurysm featuring guest backing vocals from Amanda Lance (Spirit Mother) for digital download on their Bandcamp page.
