Mount Pleasant
Mount Pleasant punches above its size for live music, anchored by two very different venues. Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort is the region's biggest draw: its outdoor summer concert series and indoor Entertainment Hall, a 3,255-seat venue, pull chart-topping acts across rock, country, R&B, and pop, with recent and upcoming bookings including The Lumineers, Mary J. Blige, Shinedown, Kenny G, and Chicago. The indoor and outdoor stages together give the casino a year-round concert calendar that few venues in central Michigan can match. At the brewery end of the spectrum, Mountain Town Brewing Company has been crafting ales and lagers since 2008 and is located inside Summit Smokehouse & Taproom, where a weekly schedule of live music accompanies the taproom's locally brewed beers. The contrast between an intimate brewery setting and a major casino amphitheater gives Mount Pleasant a live-music range wider than most mid-Michigan cities its size.
