A suburb in the Madison area
Mazomanie punches above its small-town weight with two distinct live-music spots, anchored by a local nonprofit music culture that has been promoting performances since 2010. The Mazomanie Performing Arts Pavilion sits in the Westland Promenade, adjacent to the railroad tracks that cross the village. The structure was designed by the School of Architecture at Taliesin as a community project for the 2018 Summer Immersion class. Its outdoor stage has hosted a wide range of acts: high-energy rock tributes and Milwaukee's BriTins recreating the British Invasion era, as well as 15-time Madison Area Music Association award-winner Shawndell Marks. The pavilion is also used for performing arts beyond music, including touring theater companies. The Iron Amethyst Inn anchors the indoor side of the scene. Its attached 1920s-inspired bar, The 2One Speakeasy, keeps the jazz age alive with live music alongside Prohibition-style drinks. The 2One runs a summer series of events and live music in an intimate, period-decorated room connected to the inn's beer garden.
