Senatobia's live-music scene centers almost entirely on the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts, a major facility on the campus of Northwest Mississippi Community College that opened in January 2023 as a 65,000-square-foot, 1,203-seat professional performance theater with balcony seating and a two-story lobby. The center hosts Broadway touring productions, celebrity attractions, and visiting artists, and its calendar pulls in a wide range of acts. Recent and upcoming bookings include Danny Gokey, the Four Tops, and country group Lonestar. The building also houses a recording studio, digital piano lab, private practice rooms, and rehearsal spaces for NWCC bands and choirs, making it as much an academic music hub as a public concert hall. Beyond the Heindl Center, Senatobia sits along the Mississippi Blues Trail, and the annual Five Star City Fest brings live music to the downtown area each year. For a city of roughly 8,000, the Heindl Center punches well above its weight as the primary destination for ticketed live music in the region.
