The White Lilac is Kenosha's intimate 50-seat "micro-venue" listening room, operating out of a building that has stood since the early 1900s, with The White Lilac itself opening in October 2023. The venue operates as a listening room, a format that prioritizes attentive, quiet engagement with live music over the background-noise environment of a bar or larger venue. Since opening, it became a destination for original, award-winning artists from around the world, all within a cozy 50-seat space the owners call "a room that listens." Artists have played folk, blues, soul, and original material from the stage. Note: The White Lilac is currently closed indefinitely after part of its exterior wall collapsed. The owner has been working with other venues in Kenosha to relocate future shows while repairs are assessed. Check whitelilackenosha.com for current status before visiting.
