Residency, In Pieces: Jon Cowherd, July 14th

Jon Cowherd is an American pianist, composer, arranger, and record producer. Cowherd is most well known for his partnership with jazz drummer Brian Blade, with whom he co-founded the Brian Blade Fellowship. When not recording and touring with the Fellowship, Cowherd works extensively with a broad array of players and singers from the jazz, pop and rock worlds.

Bred in the hills of California's Monterey Bay, Ryan Scott has been handling the world of jazz guitar since he was a kid. Ryan moved to NYC in 2001 and quickly became one of the city's most sought after sidemen and session players. Along with straight-ahead jazz, Ryan's steady accompaniment alongside singers and songwriters began to influence his own music. Ryan is sometimes described as a combination of Jeff Buckley, John Scofield, and Marvin Gaye.

Michael A. Elizondo Jr. is an American producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. A protégé of Dr. Dre, Elizondo has worked with 50 Cent, Eminem, Linkin Park, Carrie Underwood, Fiona Apple, Mastodon, Ry Cooder, Twenty One Pilots, Nelly Furtado, Brothers Osborne, Lauren Daigle, Madison Cunningham, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sheryl Crow and Peter Gabriel, among others. His songwriting credits include "In da Club" by 50 Cent, Eminem's "Just Lose It" and "The Real Slim Shady", "Family Affair" by Mary J. Blige, and Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova". He has won three Grammy Awards from seven nominations, which includes two nominations for Producer of the Year.
