The Bad Plus continues to push boundaries as founding members Reid Anderson (bass) and Dave King (drums) embark on a new piano-less incarnation of the band with Ben Monder (guitar) and Chris Speed (tenor saxophone) – instigating a new wave of excitement and anticipation within the band that is re-energizing their sound and inspiration. The Bad Plus have constantly searched to bridge genres and techniques while exploring the infinite possibilities of exceptional musicians working in perfect sync. The Bad Plus has been a band for 26 years. That’s quite a long time! As we enter into year 27 - after a great deal of soul searching and consideration - we have decided to bring this chapter to a close. 2026 will be the final year of The Bad Plus. We share this news with heavy hearts, but also with great pride in what we have accomplished. It has been a privilege to share our music with the world and we leave behind a body of work that we could not be more proud of. Sue Foley is a multi-award-winning blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose latest album, One Guitar Woman: A Tribute to the Female Pioneers of Guitar, was nominated for the 2025 GRAMMY® Award for Best Traditional Blues Album. Known for her fiery playing and soulful voice, Foley blends Texas blues grit with refined fingerstyle technique, whether on her signature pink paisley Fender Telecaster or a hand-built flamenco guitar. Born in Ottawa, Canada, Foley began performing professionally at 16 and made her mark in Austin, Texas, with the legendary Antone’s label. Since her 1992 debut Young Girl Blues, she’s toured internationally, sharing stages with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and Billy F Gibbons. Foley is a five-time consecutive Blues Music Award winner for Traditional Blues Female Artist (2020–2025) and a recipient of multiple other honors, including a JUNO Award and the 2024 Maple Blues Lifetime Achievement Award. A passionate scholar as well as a performer, Foley holds a PhD in Musicology and released her first book, Guitar Women, in June, 2026. City Winery Nashville & Lovenoise Presents Andre Ward & Friends live on Sunday, October 18th at 7:30pm! André Ward: A Chicago-Bred Jazz Virtuoso Chicago native André Ward is a renowned jazz saxophonist whose music is deeply rooted in the city's vibrant jazz and R&B heritage. Inspired by iconic bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, particularly their legendary Phenix Horns featuring the late Don Myrick, Ward's musical journey began with an after-school program, leading him from drums to trumpet and ultimately to the alto saxophone. Ward's talent earned him a place at Tennessee State University, where he co-founded the quartet Act IV, winning a Budweiser-sponsored contest with their single "The Pulse." He further honed his skills at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, intending to move to New York City for session work. However, the thriving Boston music scene kept him rooted, and in 1990, a pivotal opportunity arose when fellow Berklee alum Lalah Hathaway enlisted him in her touring band, supporting her debut Virgin Records album. This launched Ward into a successful career as a touring musician, backing renowned artists like Will Downing and Freddie Jackson, where he spent nine years, four as Jackson's musical director. Ward's time with Freddie Jackson caught the attention of Hush Productions, leading to his first solo single, "Everything I Do (I Do For You)," a Bryan Adams remake that topped the smooth jazz charts. Despite the subsequent closure of his label, Morgan Creek Records, Ward continued to thrive, contributing to music education in Boston's public schools before securing a deal with the Huggins brothers, Charles and Beau. His subsequent albums, "Feelin' You," "Steppin' Up," and "Crystal City," all achieved Top 10 status on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart, with "Caution" reaching #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz charts. His latest album, "AFRICA RISING," is poised to follow suit. The album features tributes to musical influences like Earth, Wind & Fire ("Secret Place" featuring Chantel Hampton) and The Emotions ("Don't Ask My Neighbors"). The single "Casualty of Love," a collaboration with singer/songwriter K'Jon, celebrates the positive power of love. Ward also puts his unique spin on Sade's classic "Kiss of Life," a testament to his admiration for the artist's rich catalog. André Ward continues to captivate audiences with his exceptional musicianship and is eagerly anticipating future musical endeavors and touring opportunities.

His innovative approach, described succinctly by Noy himself as “Jazz—it just doesn’t sound like it,” has captivated audiences worldwide and earned him widespread acclaim among fans, critics, and fellow musicians alike. Born in Israel, Oz embarked on his professional music career at the remarkably young age of 13, swiftly distinguishing himself across multiple genres. By age 16, he had already established himself as a leading guitarist, performing alongside many of Israel’s most prominent artists. By age 24, Oz had become one of the most in-demand session guitarists in the country and held a pivotal role as a member of the house band on Israel’s top-rated television show for over two years. Oz’s artistic journey took a transformative leap when he relocated to New York City in 1996. His arrival in the vibrant music scene of New York marked the beginning of a prolific career, characterized by an infectious groove and genre-defying sonic explorations. Quickly making his mark, he began collaborating with some of the most revered musicians in the industry, including drummers Keith Carlock, Anton Fig, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Dave Weckl, as well as bassists Will Lee, James Genus, and Reggie Washington. In 2003, Oz introduced himself formally to the music world with his debut album, “Oz Live!”, recorded at the legendary Bitter End in Greenwich Village. His breakthrough came shortly thereafter, signing with Magna Carta Records and releasing his critically acclaimed studio debut “Ha!” in 2005. This groundbreaking release featured his signature all-star lineup, including Anton Fig, Keith Carlock, Will Lee, and James Genus, and boasted special guest appearances by Mike Stern and George Whitty. Oz’s discography rapidly expanded with celebrated albums such as “Fuzzy” (2007), featuring the talents of Vinnie Colaiuta, Jimmy Johnson, and Jim Beard, and “Schizophrenic” (2009), which included guest musician Steve Lukather. He then ventured into blues-infused territories with “Twisted Blues Vol. 1” (2011) and “Twisted Blues Vol. 2” (2014), highlighting collaborations with esteemed artists Eric Johnson, Allen Toussaint, Warren Haynes, Chick Corea, John Medeski, and Gregoire Maret. In subsequent years, Oz continued his sonic experimentation with releases such as the live “Asian Twistz” (2015), recorded during an acclaimed Asian tour, and “Who Gives A Funk” (2016), featuring celebrated musicians Joe Bonamassa, Robben Ford, and Dweezil Zappa, among others. His innovative trio, Ozone Squeeze, debuted in 2017, showcasing fresh creative directions alongside drummer Darren Stanley and vocalist-keyboardist Rai Thistlethwayte. Sara Niemietz joined the band for their second album, “Squeeze It!” His ninth solo album, “Booga Looga Loo” (2019), presented another milestone, with contributions from luminaries Steve Ferrone, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Will Lee, John Patitucci, James Genus, Jerry Z, and Brian Charette, further cementing Oz’s reputation as a boundary-pushing musician. Continuing his prolific output, Oz released “Snapdragon” in 2020, further exploring his eclectic fusion style. “Riverside” (2022) offered a fresh acoustic-oriented collaboration with Ugonna Okegwo and Ray Marchica, while 2023 saw the release of “Squeeze It!” with his trio Ozone Squeeze, as well as the critically acclaimed “Triple Play,” recorded with legendary drummer Dennis Chambers and bassist Jimmy Haslip. His recent projects also include “Fun One” (2024), an adventurous collaboration with jazz label Criss Cross, and “Recreational Substance” (2025), created alongside fellow guitarist Andrew Synowiec. Oz Noy’s live performances have continued to garner significant acclaim, including prestigious appearances at renowned events like the North Sea Jazz Festival and the “Nearness Of You” concert series, where he notably supported iconic artists such as Diana Krall, Elvis Costello, and Christopher Cross, alongside Steve Gadd. Further enriching his distinguished career, Oz regularly serves as an honored guest lecturer at Berklee College of Music, sharing his profound musical knowledge and experience. Through his 54-year career, 3-time Grammy Award winner John Scofield has occasionally detoured from the traditions of straight-ahead jazz, exploring a blend of funk and jazz that has led to some of his most popular projects. In late autumn of 2026, Scofield looks back at many of his now classic fusion groove compositions with Electrospective. Not intending to replicate the earlier fan favorites, he plans instead to revisit them with the seasoned perspective of several decades; culling tunes from his Blue Matter, Uberjam, and AGoGo bands – each responsible for a few recordings – as well as new material in the same vein. Scofield looks forward to teaming up with a stellar band of colleagues, Electrospective will rely on interpretative input from Scofield alum and super funk drummer/producer Adam Deitch (Lettuce), multidimensional Larry Goldings (Scary Goldings, James Taylor) on keyboards, and legendary bassist Oteil Burbridge (Dead & CO., Tedeschi Trucks, Allman Brothers). It’s cuddling in bed, holding hands, talking at the kitchen table or simply gazing deeply into each other’s eyes. Southern soul/ blues/ R&B singer Stacii Adams expresses the essence of that enduring ambiance on his passion-filled sophomore album Love You Like the 90s. Coming off the Billboard-charting success of sexy steppers anthem “Do It For Love,” the sultry satin-voiced soloist continues to spread a little tenderness with heartfelt ballad “I’ll Beg.” “The 90s was the best era in music. Period. And this album embodies the feel of the 90s,” Stacii Adams explains. “I’m reintroducing love with a sound, with a feeling to make people want to love again, hold hands again, kiss again, slow dance in the club again. Chivalry ain’t dead; chivalry is alive and well within this album.” Slated to be released early 2025, the star-studded project features hugely popular Southern soul singer Sky Whatley, up-tempo feel-good song of the year “Happy Days” featuring Grammy Award-winning platinum singer Anthony Hamilton and Grammy-nominated vocalist Calvin Richardson on the sensual love song “Let’s Make A Baby.” With the bulk of production created by certified platinum music maestro Angelo Ray, who wrote and produced Kevon Edmonds’ certified platinum single “24/7,” this much-anticipated album is mixed and engineered by 28-time Grammy winner Leslie Brathwaite (TLC, Brandy, Outkast, Pharrell) and platinum-backed soundman Kory Anders (Usher, Akon, BeBe and CeCe Winans). Stacii Adams also acknowledges blessings from the Most High on an inspirational selection produced by gospel hit maker Bailey Hinton. “The 90s was a time when you could be yourself, but you really had to be able to sing. You really had to produce good music,” says Stacii. “With this album, I’m bringing back a sound and a feel within the music that need to be touched on.” No stranger to making memorable music, Stacii Adams has been bringing the best of love for quite some time now. Born in Milledgeville, Ga. and raised in the College Park suburb of Atlanta, Stacii Adams was raised in a house full of music. His father was a professional singer, drummer and conga player for several blues and R&B bands in the 70s and 80s. And his older sister sang background for several old school Atlanta bass acts. “My father brought me up listening to Johnny Taylor, Marvin Sease, Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters, Little Milton,” Stacii says. “I always loved singing but when I was younger, I never really took it seriously. I woke up when I was about 16 and this old lady heard me singing and said ‘you know what? You need to sing the blues or soul, because you have a voice.’” Although he loved music, the six-foot-six youngster chose to pursue a career in basketball instead. After high school, he landed a scholarship to Albany State University. On the off season with a little more time on his hands, he revisited the words of that “old lady” and began dabbling in music. In no time, he was touring the college circuits, performing anywhere he could. By the time he had earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, he decided upon a career in music. Garnering attention early on, he co-wrote the lyrics to Adina Howard’s 2004 debut single “Nasty Grind” and has been noted by Island/ Def Jam Music Group A&R executive Max Gousse (A&R for Beyonce’s I Am…Sasha Fierce and B’Day) as one of the best writers he had ever met. “That was my first introduction to music,” he thinks back. “I came in at a high level, and over the years, I’ve had a chance to be amongst the greats and make some music with some legends.” Those legends include platinum producer/songwriter Paul Dawson (best known as Hot Sauce or Hollywood Hot Sauce), who wrote, produced and co-produced Rihanna's “As Real As You and Me,” Ariana Grande's “Hands on Me” and Usher's “Hot Tottie,” as well as timeless tracks for Adams. Initially starting his career as a songwriter, he embarked on a new path as an artist and melted the hearts of many admirers on debut single “Heat Phone,” instantly raising the bar in Southern soul, blues and R&B. With his dynamic stage shows, cinematic music videos and runaway singles such as touching love story “Good Enough For Me” and smooth ballad “These Bills,” this dark bronze Adonis quickly made a name for himself. In 2021, he released debut album Baggage Claim with his 2022 single “Do It For Love” peaking at No. 32 on Billboard’s Top 100 Urban AC Radio. He also lit up last summer with sizzling single “Higher” featuring rap legend Jadakiss. Most recently, he received the 2024 Achievement Award for his accomplishments during the Radio and Records Awards Ceremony in Atlanta. Next on the horizon, Stacii Adams continues to push the envelope in urban music with forthcoming sophomore album Love You Like the 90s, set to be released early next year. “I’m bringing blues to mainstream and being a catalyst to staying true to R&B, Southern soul and alternative music,” Stacii Adams details. “My main goal is to make music on a high level. The upcoming "A Tribute to Chicago Blues" tour represents a homecoming of sorts for Wilson, who cut his teeth playing alongside the very architects of the Chicago blues sound during the genre's golden era. "That's where I live," Wilson says about Chicago blues. "This is what I love. It's what I've always loved. Everything else that I do, I try and put that mojo on it." Early Immersion in the Scene Wilson's connection to Chicago blues runs deep, stretching back to his teenage years when he was fortunate enough to witness and learn from the masters themselves. "I was probably about 16 years old, maybe even 15," Wilson recalls about when he first became aware of the Chicago blues scene. "All my friends were listening to that stuff and all those guys were coming in and playing live everywhere you can imagine." The young Wilson saw legends like Johnny Shines, Muddy Waters, George "Harmonica" Smith, and Jimmy Reed perform live. More remarkably, he got to play with them. "I played with Eddie Taylor when I was 18 or 19 years old. That's about as Chicago blues as you can get," he notes.
