A neighborhood in Nashville
Wedgewood-Houston, just a few blocks south of downtown, has grown into a creative hub whose live-music options span intimate cocktail rooms to a major league soccer stadium. City Winery Nashville is a premier live-music venue offering an intimate setting with live music nearly every night, covering country, Americana, blues, and rock, as well as stand-up comedy and live podcast recordings. Over the years it has welcomed artists including Keb' Mo', Emmylou Harris, and Lyle Lovett. At the smaller end of the spectrum, Americano Lounge hosts live jazz every Friday night and carries one of the more extensive cocktail menus in Nashville. Its 1,200-square-foot space holds about 50 seats, a stage, and a piano. Jackalope Brewing Company is a casual spot for locally hand-crafted beers, regular live music, sports viewing, and a dog-friendly outdoor patio. The Wedge includes live music stages and a speakeasy music lounge called IndieLuna. GEODIS Park, home field of Nashville SC, also functions as a sports and entertainment venue. The Fairgrounds Nashville has been revamped as part of a larger events park and hosts live music alongside its other programming. The neighborhood also counts Flamingo Cocktail Club, Honky Tonk Hideaway & Cantina, The Blue Room at Third Man Records, The Mil at Cannery Hall, The Outfield, and The Vinyl Lounge among its music spots.
