Floyd's Bar is an old-school watering hole on Arboretum Blvd and the main live-music anchor in Victoria. It books live music seven nights a week during summer, with Sundays reserved for acoustic acts, then scales back to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays the rest of the year. Performances move outside to the fenced patio during the warmer months, and the crowd draws a notable biker contingent on weekends. Beyond Floyd's, the City of Victoria runs a free "Live by the Lake" concert series on Wednesday evenings at Bayfront Park throughout summer, covering genres from blues and country to classic rock. Victoria's permanent venue footprint is small, with Floyd's carrying most of the load for regular, bar-based live music in town.
