"Freezerburn is a four piece hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, where they’ve learned a thing or two about how to fuse things like bar rock, slow burners, Dawes inspired, two step alt-country tunes and progressive music together in one big ball of flaming fun for everyone. They’re young gent’s, but obviously have something special between the four of them."
When brothers Cassidy(vocals/guitar) and Hayden Wall(drums) started a band under the name "Acid Rain" they were just children. Years later and after many lineup shifts the band changed it's name to Freezerburn and Ian Mauldin(vocals/guitar) joined and became part of the songwriting process. They brought in Jack Thomson (bass) to solidify the lineup and began gigging seriously, releasing their debut EP Show Your Teeth.
Three or so years in the making, Freezerburn is well practiced and can put on a great live performance, but what sets them apart is their unique blend of sounds. Ian's songwriting takes influence from bands such as Bright Eyes, Modest Mouse, The Beatles; while the rest of the band's musicianship is more in the vein of The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, etc. So take catchy and powerful songs, stir them into a talent for improvisational jamming, and you have Freezerburn.
Under it's various names, this group has played many venues and fesivals around Atlanta, including Eddies Attic, The Masquerade, The Drunken Unicorn, The Do Da Jam, and others. Previous members include Curtis Vickers, Alex Hughes, Reese Boyd, Richard Murphy, and others.
