Bugaboo's Bar and Grill is an art-based full bar and restaurant on Cedar Lake, hosting live music every Friday and Saturday. Its 40-by-60-foot lake-view deck is known for music and what the venue calls the best sunset view on the lake. The Lighthouse Restaurant operates at the upscale end of the spectrum: local talent provides live music Thursday through Sunday, and the two-floor, 11,600-square-foot building seats up to 250, with a second-floor private facility equipped with a wooden dance floor surrounded by windows. During summer months, the Lighthouse patio features live entertainment alongside lakeside dining. The Sandbar Grill rounds out the trio, its name in keeping with Cedar Lake's lakeside bar-and-grill pattern. The Cedar Lake Farmers Market also hosts live music on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, May through October. The broader live-music calendar leans on cover acts and local bands, with the annual Cedar Lake Summerfest serving as Northwest Indiana's premier Fourth of July celebration and drawing regional acts to its main stage each summer.
