Con más de 20 años de carrera, el cantautor tolimense es un nombre indispensable dentro del panorama de la música pop internacional, con múltiples reconocimientos en los últimos años. Con 10 álbumes publicados hasta el día de hoy, Santiago cuenta con 6 nominaciones a los Latin GRAMMY (Mejor Álbum Cantautor: 2010 “Cruce de Caminos”, 2015 “Equilibrio”, 2017 “Trenes, Aviones y Viajes Interplanetarios”, 2023 “Nueve”; Grabación del Año: 2013 “Desde Lejos”; Mejor Canción Cantautor “1.200 Kilómetros” 2023). En septiembre de 2021 publicó su primer libro, “Diciembre, otra vez”, un relato escrito en presente de distintos episodios de su vida en los que cuenta su recorrido como artista, su punto de vista acerca de distintos aspectos musicales, de industria y sociales, así como su transformación personal. Hizo parte del programa “La Descarga” en horario prime time del canal Caracol como jurado. Con “Un Tour Acústico de Verdad”, el cantautor realizó 5 shows en Estados Unidos y continuó por 14 ciudades de Colombia, con 3 fechas Sold Out en Bogotá, Bucaramanga y Medellín. En 2025 presentó su décimo álbum de estudio “Quince de Caminos” una celebración de los 15 años de “Cruce de Caminos” (su álbum más relevante hasta la fecha). And in that time Los Lobos have created an unprecedented body of work, a legacy of greatness. The numbers are staggering: 100+ gigs a year for five decades running, crossing millions of miles to rock millions of fans. And that’s just at the live shows. In between they’ve recorded 17 studio albums, 7 live LPs, 3 compilations, 2 EPs, 2 DVDs, and contributed 40+ guest appearances on their friends’ recordings—all garnering 4 Grammys, an Austin City Limits Hall of Fame induction, the ALMA Ritchie Valens Pioneer Award, NEA and Hispanic Heritage Foundation Honors, Congressional recognitions, plus countless “Keys to the City” and “Los Lobos Day” celebrations. And those are just a few of the highlights. But beyond all the hoopla and applause (and the source of it all, really) is the tremendous heart. Rather, hearts. Cinco corazones. Surabhi Ensemble presents "Fado, Carnatic Music & Flamenco"

City Winery Chicago Presents Surabhi Ensemble presents "Fado, Carnatic Music & Flamenco" partnered with Instituto Cervantes live on Monday, March 15th at 7:30 PM! The Surabhi Ensemble was founded in 2010 by Indian veena player Saraswathi Ranganathan, director of the Ensemble of Ragas School of Performing Arts in Schaumburg and “Best Asian Entertainer of the Year,” according to the 2018 Chicago Music Awards. The core of the group has included fellow local musical luminaries such as Spanish flamenco guitarist Carlo Basile, tabla master Dhananjay Kunte, and percussionist Bob Garrett. About 8 years ago, the Surabhi Ensemble expanded to include oud player Ronnie Malley and bassist Greg Neergard, and more recently it’s incorporated modern and Indian dancer Kinnari Vora and flamenco dancer Leticia Aravena. Along with virtuosic musicianship, the Surabhi Ensemble is known for its activist mission: to demonstrate connections between cultures and how togetherness can create positivity. The ensemble has performed globally in Vietnam, Spain, Portugal, Senegal and Mexico and India. Mission: The mission of the Surabhi Ensemble is to demonstrate the connections between cultures and to teach a positive message of togetherness in creating, performing, and demonstrating new works of music and dance. Members of the group work in many settings such as schools, hospitals, theaters, concert halls, festivals, refugee organizations, neighborhood parks, and cultural centers to bring this positive message of cultural unity and outreach.
