Streeterville's live-music options divide neatly between the lakefront and one serious indoor room. Navy Pier anchors the neighborhood, offering outdoor movie screenings and live music alongside its summer fireworks and family attractions. The pier runs "Live on the Lake!," an outdoor series featuring Chicago bands along with regional and national acts performing across many genres every weekend. Sitting at the far end of the pier, the Miller Lite Beer Garden is an outdoor concert spot with views of Lake Michigan. Its large entertainment stage frequently hosts musicians including reggae and Caribbean bands. The beer garden is open from May to October. A short walk inland, Winter's Jazz Club at 465 N. McClurg Ct. is an intimate listening room devoted to straight-ahead jazz and the Great American Songbook. It presents Chicago's top local talent alongside national headliners. Performances are ticketed, ranging from $20 to $40 depending on the seat. It operates as a listening room rather than a bar with background music, and a one-drink minimum keeps conversation down during sets.
