Crestwood
A suburb in the Chicago area
Crestwood is a south suburban village whose live-music options run from Irish-pub Saturdays to full-weekend rock. The two venues sit just a few miles apart and cover different ground. The Brazen Head on S. Cicero Avenue takes its name from Ireland's oldest pub and leans into that identity with draft Guinness, Jameson, and a beer garden. Live bands play Saturday nights, Friday is karaoke, and the booking list spans acoustic, classic rock, country, jazz, reggae, and pop. Thirsty Beaver on W. 127th Street calls itself "The Biggest Little Rock n Roll Dive Bar on the Southside" and runs live music Thursday through Saturday nights plus Sunday afternoons, with Thursdays reserved for an open jam. The bar is under new management and appears on Chicago heavy-music listings, signaling a harder-edged booking calendar than its neighbor up the road. Together the two bars give Crestwood live music most nights of the week.
