A suburb in the Chicago area
Hazel Crest's live-music options lean toward neighborhood gathering spots rather than touring-act destinations. Cross Pointe Park, at 2801 W. 167th St., opened in 2020 as an outdoor amphitheater drawing both local and touring acts. Its documented bookings include Latin music events, with past shows featuring banda and jaripeo acts. The venue carries no known age restrictions, making it an all-ages option. Bernice's Barbeque Bar & Grill, on Kedzie Ave., pairs its BBQ menu with live music, DJ nights, and dancing, and draws a grown-and-sexy crowd. Fridays bring live music starting at 7 p.m., followed by karaoke, with Bernice's signature BBQ and cocktails on hand. Sundays run a day-party format. Together the two spots give the south suburb a mix of outdoor concert events and an indoor/patio bar scene with regular weekly programming.
