Homewood

A suburb in the Chicago area

Copper Still is a martini lounge and speakeasy in downtown Homewood that books live music across nearly any genre, alongside karaoke nights and its hidden "Under the Still" speakeasy events. Live performances happen in the downstairs "Blind Tiger" room, accessed through a secret lever in a wine wall, with a stage and seating for about 60. Music runs most Thursdays and Sundays, with occasional live acts or DJs on Fridays and Saturdays. Rabid Brewing, open since 2017, runs a 100-person taproom that regularly features live performers. The brewery hosts a weekly open mic that welcomes performers at all skill levels. Each May it holds the Feast of the Goat Queen, an outdoor beer-release festival with fire dancers, hoopers, and live music. V.I.P. Bar & Grill rounds out the local options as a third spot for live music in the area. Together, the three venues give this south-suburban village a consistent live-music presence spread across a cocktail lounge, a craft brewery, and a bar and grill.
