Medina
Medina is a small city about 25 miles southwest of Cleveland with a modest but consistent live-music calendar spread across its downtown square and nearby bars. The South Town Music Festival brings over a dozen bands and singers across several venues in the South Town district for a full day of music. Medina Brewing Company operates out of a repurposed Purina building and pours a rotating tap of craft beers, and regularly appears on the county live-music calendar alongside jazz, country, and other local acts. Blues performers such as Colin Dussault have played the taproom. Sully's Irish Pub opened in 2008 in a renovated machine shop just off the square. It hosts live music every Friday and Saturday night, featuring local musicians playing everything from traditional Irish to blues and jazz. The pub also runs a monthly Irish traditional music session on the second Wednesday of the month, drawing intermediate to advanced players from the Cleveland, Akron, and Wooster areas.
