Bagley
A neighborhood in Detroit
Bagley is a residential Detroit neighborhood on the northwest side with a modest but real live-music presence anchored by two venues on James Couzens Freeway. TSDMAAC, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit active since 2014, is built around supporting artists and musicians through artistic expression. Its building holds multiple rooms, each with its own name: the Confessional, the Crypt, and the Catacombs. Programming runs across genres, with recent shows covering metalcore and alternative rock, punk, and hip-hop and rap, and the space is all-ages. A short distance up the same road, Wall Street Ultra Lounge is a full-service restaurant specializing in American and Caribbean-inspired food that also programs live music and entertainment. It regularly features local artists and musicians. Past recurring events have included R&B and Soul Food Sundays. Together the two venues cover a wide range, from DIY punk and metal to R&B lounge nights.
