The Avenue of Fashion is a walkable, historic shopping district running along Livernois Avenue from Seven Mile to Eight Mile, known primarily for its retail and dining scene rather than live music. Today the corridor includes bars and restaurants alongside boutiques, and The Office Ultra Lounge and Grill at 20143 Livernois is the main spot bringing live music to the strip. Established in 2020, The Office is a neighborhood spot offering live bands, karaoke, and a DJ on Wednesdays, drawing a mature crowd alongside soul-food staples like wings, smothered pork chops, and catfish. The band plays old-school music and live jazz on Sundays. The venue also runs a monthly Afro and Dancehall series: "Afro plus Dancehall (First Thursdays) is a monthly series that combines African and Caribbean cultures, vibes and music." Monday nights open the stage to artists, poets, and comedians. For a neighborhood better known for fashion and food than late-night music, The Office does most of the heavy lifting.
