Southfield sits at the center of metro Detroit, and its live-music spots lean toward lounge-style dining rooms that fold music into a full evening out rather than stage-forward concert venues. Bloom, a 10,000-square-foot luxury lounge on Southfield Road, opened in July 2025. Tuesday evenings are dedicated to dinner and live music in an intimate lounge setting, with the night building into a full live-music experience starting at 8 PM. Wednesdays bring R&B classics and crowd-favorite specials. Wednesday nights at BLVD, on Northwestern Highway, center on The J Hits Band, who play smooth R&B and jazz-infused soul, with live music running from 7 PM to 10 PM and no cover charge. The calendar also includes DJ sessions and game nights throughout the week.
