St. Clair Shores

A city in the Detroit area

St. Clair Shores keeps its live-music scene local and low-key, with two distinct spots doing the heavy lifting on Jefferson Avenue and in the downtown district. Blue Goose Inn is a historic building with roots going back to 1908, relocated from Harsen's Island and passed through lives as a saloon, speakeasy, and inn before settling into its current role as a bar and grill. This east-side staple has been bringing a piece of Memphis to Macomb County for years, featuring some of the Detroit area's best blues bands. The venue is known for its live blues music, hosting performances most nights, and underwent a full renovation in late 2023, reopening with a refreshed interior while keeping its long history intact. Copper Hop Brewing is a microbrewery in the downtown district at 9 Mile Road and Greater Mack Avenue. Founded in 2018, it pairs craft beer with a recurring music series: Hop Sessions bring artists into the brewery to perform every Wednesday. The taproom also offers cider, wine, rotating food trucks, and a welcoming patio.
