Shelbyville
Bay Pointe Inn is a family-owned, full-service resort on the south shore of Gun Lake, and it is Shelbyville's primary live-music draw. Its Gun Lake LIVE outdoor concert series features bands from the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo area, drawing 400 to 600 people per show. Shows happen every Wednesday from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with a bar, BBQ, and dancing at the water's edge in the outdoor Pavilion. Through the off-season, the Bay Pointe Bar and Grille keeps a weekly Wednesday music schedule indoors, featuring jazz, vocals, piano, and guitar. Recent bookings have included acts like Brena, Funkle Jesse, and The Soul Syndicate. The Gun Lake LIVE series carries no cover charge.
