Eagle Creek is a northwest Indianapolis neighborhood where live music is spread between a park-based outdoor series and one lounge. Eagle Creek Park's "Jazz on the Point" series at the Marina, which first gained popularity in 2006, runs alongside the "In Concert with Nature" series every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. from June through August. Concerts are free with park admission. The Eagle Creek Folk Festival, now in its 50th year, takes place each September in the park as well. For indoor nightlife, Vibez Ultra Lounge sits at 6920 Eagle Highlands Way. The atmosphere shifts from quiet during the day to energetic at night, with a DJ spinning R&B and rap and a crowd that leans toward dancing. Live music and karaoke nights add to the mix, with guests often line dancing. Karaoke runs every Thursday night starting at 10 p.m., with a two-drink minimum.
